Ashley's friend's baptism

We had the wonderful opportunity to have one of Ashley's friends Erica Phillips get baptized this past fall. Erica and her dad spent a few weeks taking the discussions in our home and was baptized October 31st. She had almost 100 people there and it was a fantastic service. She had asked Gordon to perform the baptism and confirm her in church the next day.

St. George, Utah

We had to make an unexpected trip to St. George this summer for my uncle Loyds funeral. He was my dad's twin and I miss him very much. While there we attended the Tuacahn production of Annie and took in the sites of the beautiful St. George temple.

Halloween party

Chase, Landon, and Bryson dressed up as the three Musketeers this year. I made their costumes using my vinyl machine and an empty candy wrapper. (Mmm, I wonder who ate the candy?) Brooky is pictured here with our neighbor Mckayla as they both dressed as witches...friendly ones of course.

"Wicked" with the girlfriends

I went to see the musical Wicked with a group of girlfriends in October. We took the train downtown to the Buell Theatre and even tho we were in the farthest row back you could sit...we still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Halloween carving party

Every Halloween we invite a few families over to carve pumpkins in preparation for Halloween. This year we had the Hume and Goubert families over along with Erica Phillips, a friend of Ashley's. We had some spooky pumpkins by the end of the evening. The missionaries even came over and weilded their knives.

August...too soon for the first day of school

Bryson begins the 5th grade this year and is in Mrs. Stanforth's class. Brooky started 2nd grade with Mrs. Crispin. They attend Mammoth Heights Elementary which is about 30 yards from our house. School started on August 6th this year which seemed a little early.

Girl Friends

Another fun weekend away with girlfriends in Park City, Utah. Jami and I found these vintage polyester dresses and couldn't stand how much they reminded us of the dresses our mothers wore in the sixties. We had to try them on...they were actually very comfortable. I think every Nursery Leader of every Ward should wear something like this...I really came close to buying it.
