Ashley's friend's baptism

We had the wonderful opportunity to have one of Ashley's friends Erica Phillips get baptized this past fall. Erica and her dad spent a few weeks taking the discussions in our home and was baptized October 31st. She had almost 100 people there and it was a fantastic service. She had asked Gordon to perform the baptism and confirm her in church the next day.

St. George, Utah

We had to make an unexpected trip to St. George this summer for my uncle Loyds funeral. He was my dad's twin and I miss him very much. While there we attended the Tuacahn production of Annie and took in the sites of the beautiful St. George temple.

Halloween party

Chase, Landon, and Bryson dressed up as the three Musketeers this year. I made their costumes using my vinyl machine and an empty candy wrapper. (Mmm, I wonder who ate the candy?) Brooky is pictured here with our neighbor Mckayla as they both dressed as witches...friendly ones of course.

"Wicked" with the girlfriends

I went to see the musical Wicked with a group of girlfriends in October. We took the train downtown to the Buell Theatre and even tho we were in the farthest row back you could sit...we still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Halloween carving party

Every Halloween we invite a few families over to carve pumpkins in preparation for Halloween. This year we had the Hume and Goubert families over along with Erica Phillips, a friend of Ashley's. We had some spooky pumpkins by the end of the evening. The missionaries even came over and weilded their knives.

August...too soon for the first day of school

Bryson begins the 5th grade this year and is in Mrs. Stanforth's class. Brooky started 2nd grade with Mrs. Crispin. They attend Mammoth Heights Elementary which is about 30 yards from our house. School started on August 6th this year which seemed a little early.

Girl Friends

Another fun weekend away with girlfriends in Park City, Utah. Jami and I found these vintage polyester dresses and couldn't stand how much they reminded us of the dresses our mothers wore in the sixties. We had to try them on...they were actually very comfortable. I think every Nursery Leader of every Ward should wear something like this...I really came close to buying it.

Gordon the Green thumbed Gardener

We managed to plant a garden for the first time in years. Gordon found it very therapeutic after a long day at work to come out and see how much his garden grew. We had some great success with zucchinis and made alot of zucchini bread this past summer.

The Fourth of July in Provo

We had a great time over the Fourth of July this past year. We first attended the open house of the Oquiir Mountain Temple where we met my sister Michelle and her "friend" Trevor. Then we hit the BYU campus and took a jog down memory lane with our five kids in tow. We enjoyed our old neighborhood reunion as we celebrated the "culdesac of fire" in front of our old Spanish Fork house on Friday night. Saturday morning half of us ran in the Freedom Festival run then enjoyed the parade. And finally, we attended the Stadium of Fire Saturday evening where the Jonas Brothers performed.

CUB CAMP JUNE 2009

I participated in my last cub camp with my son Bryson. I have been at cub camp for the past 10 years and I no longer have little cubs in my family to go with. I volunteered this year all three days as Bryson was less than enthusiastic about going and it was fun to spend each day with him. Bryson is on the far right with his buddies Devon and Mikey.

Ashley the track star

Ashley participated in the Sierra Track and Field club in the spring. She did great at the 200 meter run and the triple long jump. She enjoyed the practices and events as she had several friends that did them with her like her friend Hannah.

Landon scout rank advancement

Landon is our next scouter moving through the ranks. He has earned several merit badges now and is moving along up the ladder to Eagle. We have a great scout program in our ward that we attribute most of Landon's success to.

Shopping with the girls

Shopping with my friends in Dillon. We love going for the weekend and finding good deals at the outlet mall. We found these great shirts and I think they only cost 5 or 6 bucks. How can you pass that up?

Chase at the State swim competition

Chase made it to "State" this year where he competed in the 100 free style and two relays. He and his buddy Mike felt like they needed to shave their heads bald in order to get their best times.

Chase's 17th birthday with the HS Swim Team

Chase had his 17th birthday with 20 of his teammates from the Chaparral High School swim team. Chase was captain this year and really enjoyed this group of friends. The photographer who did his senior pictures came on location to the pool and took some great shots of Chase swimming. We gave one of his best swim strokes to him for his birthday present.

Happy Birthday Ashley-April

For Ashley's birthday this year, her and I went to the beauty school and had manicures and hair done. Afterwards, we met up with dad at the Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed dinner and desert.

Moab in March

Our family cruised out to Moab, Utah last March and participated in the Half Marothon. We also took in the beautiful surroundings by hiking through Arches National Park. Of course, we could'nt call our little vacation complete without bringing out the "big guns" and going ATV riding.

The Lundell brass band

It was very exciting to have Landon, Ashley and Chase all play together at the High School feeder concert this past year. Chase has loved playing the trombone for the past 8 years and has become pretty good at it. Ashley dabbled in the sax for the past four years and Landon is just starting the trumpet. We hope to have our own marching band one day.

Stay tuned...a "New Year's" resolution for the Lundells is to become a chronic "Blogger". Our goal is to update our blog at least once a week. We are currently "Under Construction" but look for a post by Jan 1, 2010.
